SA 8000:2014 | Social Report

The social balance sheet is a mandatory reporting document for a SA8000:2014 management system. The proposed model contained in the SA8000:2014 Procedure Kit contains clear and significant indicators of each individual requirement of the SA8000 standard .

Each requirement is analyzed and measured to give the possibility of inserting performance indices , annual evaluations and objectives for the future period into the management system .

The proposed social balance sheet model already provides the complete contents – fully editable and customizable – of each criterion of the SA8000 Standard as well as standard indices and assessments that can be used both in numerical and graphic form .

The proposed Social Report model is one of the requirements of systemic relevance such as the Management Review (Point 9.1.7). The drafting of the balance sheet – carried out in a simplified way using the ready-made content of the package – is mandatory for the purposes of obtaining the SA8000 certification .

SA8000:2014 Compliance Check List

For SA8000:2014 certification, the company that adopts the management system must implement a specific model where, point by point, the satisfaction of all the requirements of the standard in question is highlighted .

In particular, it must be made clear whether – and possibly in what way and with what measure or procedure – the single criterion is respected.

The model, in addition to being mandatory for certification purposes , can also be used as a practical complete internal check list useful for the purpose of verifying whether everything required by the standard is correctly respected during the work phases of the applicant.

This use allows us to avoid deficiencies and non-conformities during the certification body’s audit phase.
